What Happens to your body within 1 hour of drinking alcohol?

Yesterday evening, I was sitting outside with my neighbor who had just come back from work. Surprisingly, she looked completely different than usual. Her eyes and cheeks were swollen, and her neck was covered in rashes. I was curious to know what had happened to her. To my amazement, she told me she had only taken a little alcohol that afternoon at work to celebrate a coworker's birthday. Her body was reacting negatively to the alcohol, which reminded me that everyone's body reacts differently.
